By July 2020, it is our aim to raise £100,000! We have raised over £7K so far, thanks to the following initiatives:
Non Uniform Day
£976 of the money raised from the non-uniform day in November 2018 has been added to the school improvement fund. Thank you to all the parents and carers for their contributions and support.
Blithbury Reindeer Lodge
A fun and festive evening for all which raised £501. There were a range of activities for everyone including, meet Santa and his reindeer which guests could feed, Comets Christmas shop, arts and crafts and a sweet shop. The evening allowed a handful of students to participate in some tug of war games with the reindeer. Thank you to the parents who supported them in raising sponsorship and coming along to watch them.
A staggering £2,586 was raised from this year’s Christmas raffle. We had a tremendous amount of support from local businesses who donated some fantastic gifts. Thank you to all parents and carers who helped students sell tickets for the draw which was made on 20 December. A full list of gifts and the winning tickets can be found here.
We are overwhelmed with the contributions that have been made via Parent Pay which total over £504 already!
World Book day
Students and staff at the school stepped into the world of fiction when they transformed into literary characters to mark World Book Day. Characters from Alice in Wonderland, Matilda and Harry Potter were among those walking the corridors of the Burntwood school on Thursday, 7 March, as they got into the spirit of the annual celebration and raised an incredible £830 for the school improvement fund. Thank you to all parents and carers for the donations!
Our School Lottery
On 4th February 2019 we launched a school lottery, giving you the chance of winning a cash prize EVERY WEEK – this is currently £35.10. The more tickets the school sells, the bigger this weekly prize will be! Supporters will also be entered into a separate draw to win £25,000 EVERY WEEK. Not only does this give supporters the chance of winning, it also gives money back to the school – our projected annual fund is set to raise £2,433!
What is next?
We are all supporting our Deputy Headteacher in completing the Great North Swim. A separate Just Giving page has been set up to support Ms Mason https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ms-mason-swim-for-dan
We will keep you posted on the other fundraising initiatives that we are currently working on.
