We have had the pleasure of receiving the loveliest phone call from a member of our community. She had an inspiring story to share about two exceptional Year 8 pupils, James and Jacob (pictured here), who went above and beyond to make a positive impact.
As James and Jacob were riding home on their scooters, they noticed her struggling with shopping bags. Without hesitation, these remarkable young gentlemen turned back to offer a helping hand. They insisted on carrying her shopping bags and walking her all the way home safely. She described feeling cold, breathless, and tired after missing her bus, and the boys showed remarkable patience, ensuring she reached her doorstep with care.
In her own words, she expressed, “If these boys are our future, I am heartened to know that life in this world will be good.” She often has positive interactions with our pupils as she walks past, and she credits them as a true reflection of the values we hold dear at Chase Terrace Academy.
The maturity and kindness displayed by James and Jacob were nothing short of exceptional. The lady who experienced their act of kindness wanted to ensure they were recognised, and we, too, want to commend them for their outstanding compassion. In light of this, James and Jacob were nominated for this weeks ‘Feel Good Friday.’ They had the honour of meeting with our Headteacher, Ms. N Mason, to discuss their kind efforts.
Ms. N Mason shared, “This is a shining example of our school values in action, particularly the value of respect. It’s so lovely to hear positive feedback from a member of the public about our pupils.”
Let’s take a moment to applaud James and Jacob for their selfless act and thank them for making a difference in our community. Their actions remind us all that even small gestures can have a big impact.
