Careers Lead: Mrs J Poppleton
SLT Careers Link: Miss J Devereux
CTA believe strongly in the importance and the role of Information, Advice and Guidance. There is a strong careers education programme including preparing our students ready for the world of work. We have been externally recognised, endorsed and nationally published as having an outstanding careers education programme. The work done with our CEIAG resulted in CTA being awarded the ‘Lichfield Shining Light’ recognition at the Beacon Awards!
All students leaving CTA will be given a wide range of impartial information to make informed Post 16 choices about their future. We liaise with local and specialist national colleges, training providers, employers and the voluntary sector to ensure that knowledge is up to date and information can be shared about the needs, demands and the trends within the Labour Market locally, nationally and globally.
Mrs Poppleton is our Careers Leader who is a Level 7 qualified careers guidance practitioner with several years’ experience, specialist training and counselling skills. Mrs Poppleton offers impartial advice and guidance working with CTA students and their parent’s right from Year 7 through to Year 11. Please see our careers section for careers resources and links which you and your children can use.
