In a recent lesson, Year 7 pupils in Mrs E Scholes’ French class have been diving into an interactive activity! Each pupil had the opportunity to select five sentences in French from a variety of options. Then, they embarked on a lively journey around the classroom, asking their peers their chosen questions in French!
Each pupil selected five sentences in French from a list of options. Then, they circulated around the classroom, asking their classmates the questions written on their papers. If both pupils shared the same sentence, it was a race to see who could ask first, with the winner collecting their classmate’s paper.

This engaging activity not only fosters friendly competition but also serves a crucial purpose in our pupils’ language development journey. For those studying French at GCSE, there is a requirement to master reading comprehension, a skill that this activity directly addresses. By practicing pronunciation and conversational skills in a dynamic setting, our pupils are not only preparing for their upcoming assessments but also building a strong foundation for future language proficiency.

We’re immensely proud of the dedication and enthusiasm our Year 7 pupils continue to demonstrate in their French studies.
