We are incredibly proud of our Pupil Leadership Team members Charlotte, Isabella and Peyton, who are leading assemblies this week to mark International Women’s Day, which took place on Sunday 8th March. They have been exploring this year’s theme, “Give to Gain”, discussing why the day matters, and reflecting on how we can all continue to show respect and support for one another in school, with every person having a place in our school community.
Over in our Sixth Form, assemblies were led by Amelia and Peyton, who spoke passionately about the importance of recognising International Women’s Day. They explored what “Give to Gain” means in practice, how we can all contribute to creating better futures, and highlighted inspirational women who have made a positive impact on society.
Mrs Graham shared her pride, saying:
“I am immensely proud of the young ladies that delivered assemblies on IWD. They both rose to the challenge, as our sixth formers always do, and delivered a highly informative assembly to their peers that certainly gave everyone something to think about – especially how they could all ‘give to gain’ that little more.”
Well done to all involved for your leadership, confidence, and commitment to raising awareness.
