Exam support and information

Exam support and information

We recognise that tests and exams can be a challenging part of school life – not only for our students, but for their parents and carers too. Exam season often brings a mixture of anticipation, pressure and uncertainty, and we want to ensure that every member of our school community feels supported during this important time.

To help students manage stress and maintain their wellbeing, we have a dedicated Mental Health First Aider team available in school. They are on hand to offer guidance, reassurance and a listening ear whenever needed. Our Progress Teams will also continue to provide academic and pastoral support, helping students stay organised, motivated and confident in the lead‑up to their exams.

Below, we have included a collection of useful links and resources for both students and parents/carers. These offer advice on revision, stress management and emotional wellbeing, and we encourage families to make use of them in the coming weeks.

Guidance for parents/carers:

The Bitesize Parenting Teens Podcast is about navigating life as the parent of a teenager. Actor and comedian Kerry Godliman hosts a different celebrity guest each episode – they listen to real questions and worries from parents, share their own experiences and get tips and advice from trained experts.

Guidance for students:

Information for young people on exam stress and where to go for support can be found here: Exam stress – for 11-18 year olds

Information for young people on coping with exam pressure can be found here: Coping with exam pressure
