This week, we held our annual Sports Day, and what a fantastic day it was!
It was great to see students coming together, cheering each other on and taking part in some friendly competition. Throughout the day, students competed in a range of events including races, high jump, long jump, discus, shot put, javelin and relays.
Despite the warm weather, our students gave every event their best effort and made good use of the water and sun cream stations to keep going throughout the day. We would like to reassure parents and carers that students remained indoors during break and lunchtime today, providing them with respite from the sun and helping to ensure their wellbeing throughout the day.
This term, students have also been taking part in a House banner competition through their Personal Development groups, creating banners to support their teams on Sports Day. As you can see, a huge amount of effort and creativity has gone into these, and they looked fantastic on the field today.
Days like Sports Day really show what our Chase Terrace Academy community is all about. We saw students encouraging their peers, brothers and sisters supporting one another, Personal Development groups coming together, staff and students celebrating each other’s successes, and some incredible sporting achievements along the way.
We are proud to be CTA, and we hope our students are proud of themselves too. Their effort, attitude and support for one another made today a real success.
