This week, we had a very important assembly led by Mr. D Inman, our Assistant Headteacher, focusing on two vital aspects of our school life: safeguarding and behaviour. We believe that creating a safe and conducive learning environment is paramount to our pupils’ success and well-being.
Here’s a summary of what was discussed:
Mr. D Inman encouraged all our pupils to be proactive in challenging any disruptions to their learning. We want our pupils to understand that their education is a priority, and by addressing disruptions, they can contribute to a better learning environment for everyone.
We emphasised the importance of self-reflection when it comes to behaviour. Pupils were encouraged to think about the choices they make and how those choices affect the people around them. Positive decision-making and alignment with our school values were stressed.
We also discussed the positive impact of healthy and positive behaviour, both within the school and in the wider community. Demonstrating respect, kindness, and responsibility not only benefits our school but also helps our pupils grow into responsible citizens.
Mr. D Inman introduced our safeguarding team at CTA and explained how they can support our pupils. It’s crucial for our pupils to know where and how to access help when needed, ensuring their safety and well-being.
With bonfire night and Halloween approaching during the upcoming half-term break, we took this opportunity to remind pupils about safety during these festivities. It’s important to have fun, but it’s equally important to stay safe.
Mr. D. Inman emphasised that our school values guide us in making the right choices and decisions. We’re dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all.
