This week, Chase Terrace Academy has taken a significant step towards fostering a culture of kindness and inclusivity within our school community. Led by Mr. D Inman, Assistant Headteacher, our assembly centred on the vital topic of Anti-Bullying.
During the assembly, Mr. Inman introduced the Anti-Bullying pledge, a commitment that will be integrated into our personal development sessions starting next week. This pledge is not just a statement but a collective promise, uniting every member of Chase Terrace Academy in a stance against bullying. At CTA, we firmly believe that bullying has no place in our community.
This initiative is supported by the valuable feedback we received from both parents and pupils through recent surveys, indicating that our community would welcome a continued increased focus in addressing instances of bullying. Our goal with this pledge is to empower every individual within our school, including staff, to actively and openly challenge bullying and contribute to the creation of a safe and nurturing environment for all.
We urge our pupils to embrace kindness as a guiding principle in their interactions, always speaking out against bullying and supporting one another. As Mr Inman emphasised during the assembly, “Kindness is not just a choice; it’s a responsibility. We must be proactive in what we hear, say, and witness about bullying.”
Furthermore, the assembly provided guidance on the various support systems available to our pupils, including the progress teams and form tutors who are here to offer assistance and guidance whenever needed.
Let’s continue to uphold kindness, respect, and empathy in everything we do. Together, we can make Chase Terrace Academy a place where every individual feels valued, accepted, and safe.
