We have so much to celebrate this week! Ms Mason, Headteacher, met with Josh, Hollie and Nieve to recognise their incredible achievements.
Nieve was nominated for her incredible act of kindness. She recently made the brave decision to have her hair cut and donated it to the Little Princess Trust, helping to provide wigs for children who have lost their hair through illness or treatment. Alongside her donation, Nieve raised over £170 for this fantastic cause. This was an incredibly selfless thing to do, and she should be extremely proud of the positive difference she is making to the lives of others.
Josh was nominated for travelling to Barcelona to work with and be trained by RCD Espanyol’s Goalkeeper Coach, gaining valuable experience and insight at an elite level of the game. His team also performed exceptionally well against highly competitive Spanish opposition, securing a 5-3 victory in the first match and a 4-4 draw in the second. Josh represented himself brilliantly and demonstrated great commitment to developing his skills.
Hollie was nominated for officially signing with the Manchester United Girls U13 Academy. Although Hollie has only been playing football for around three years, from the moment she kicked a ball she fell in love with the game and has never looked back. Beginning her journey with Burntwood Dragons, before moving on to Hednesford Town whilst also playing for Derby County and Leicester, Hollie has worked tirelessly to achieve her goal. Training and playing seven days a week through her own determination, she has consistently pushed herself to reach academy level. Football is at the centre of everything she does, from her training and match preparation to her diet and recovery, all driven by her dream of becoming a professional footballer.
These are truly inspiring examples of commitment, resilience and generosity. We are so proud of Nieve, Josh and Hollie and all that they have achieved. Well done!
