Today, we have celebrated the outstanding achievements of our students, who received their A-Level and BTEC results this morning, reflecting their hard work, resilience and determination throughout their time in Sixth Form.
We also welcomed Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) to Chase Terrace Academy as they joined us in celebrating Results Day. We are proud to have hosted their team, reflecting the positive work taking place within our Sixth Form and providing an opportunity for students to share their achievements with a national audience.
As part of the visit, Ofqual spent time speaking with students, families and staff. The visit also included the recording of a podcast with Mike Donoghue OBE, CEO of the John Taylor MAT, celebrating students who have both achieved excellent academic results and flourished during their time in Chase Terrace Academy’s Sixth Form. The feature highlights young people who have overcome adversity, set ambitious goals and made a significant contribution to the life of the school and wider community.

These results have opened the door to a wide range of destinations, with students progressing to courses including Cyber Security at the University of Portsmouth, Earth Sciences at Aberystwyth University, Chemistry at the University of St Andrews, History at the University of Exeter, and Forensic Science and Criminal Investigation at the University of Central Lancashire, among many others.
We are also celebrating students who have secured apprenticeship and career pathways, including opportunities in pharmacy, the Royal Air Force and commercial aviation. Wherever their next steps may lead, every student should feel immensely proud of all they have achieved.
Mr R Giles, Head of Sixth Form, said: ” We are so proud of every student collecting their results today. It has been a privilege to watch them grow during their time in Sixth Form, and we’re delighted to see them moving on to such a wide range of exciting opportunities. We wish them every success for the future and look forward to hearing about all they go on to achieve. Please do keep in touch and visit us when you return to Burntwood.”
We wish all of our students every in the next stage of their journey, whether that be higher education, an apprenticeship, or employment. We look forward to welcoming them back and hearing about their future achievements while inspiring the students who follow in their footsteps.
