As part of our recognition of National Apprenticeship Week, our Year 10 pupils enjoyed an assembly led by Sammi, Apprenticeship Engagement Partner for Marston’s. She introduced pupils to the exciting apprenticeship opportunities within the hospitality industry, highlighting the valuable hard and soft skills they can develop in these roles.
To wrap up the session, Mrs. Scholes (Head of Year 10) and Ethan went head-to-head in a mocktail-making competition – with Mrs Scholes taking the win!

Following Year 9 parents evening last night, we invite Year 9 parents/carers and pupils to our Options Information Evening on Monday 10th February, 5:00pm – 6:30pm. The evening will include a short presentation on the options process, followed by the chance to meet subject staff, ask questions, and gather valuable insights.

We are excited to invite our pupils to take part in the JTMAT Careers Competition! This is a fantastic opportunity to design a poster or leaflet providing information about a job or career of their choice.
The competition is open to all schools within the trust, and one overall winner from Chase Terrace Academy will be selected to represent our school in the final round. The JTMAT overall winner will receive a stationery hamper and a voucher!
The deadline for submissions is Friday 14th February, please encourage your child to get involved!

We are incredibly proud to share that Annabel, Year 11, has been selected as one of the 17 chosen Ambassadors for the Children’s Commissioner for England!
The Ambassadors programme gives young people a platform to represent the views of their peers and influence Government and decision-makers. Annabel was chosen from a highly competitive field of applicants, recognised for her passion, commitment, and creativity in improving the lives of children across England.

Today, as part of our National Apprenticeship Week celebrations, our Year 8 pupils attended an assembly led by Crown Highways. It was particularly special as all the visitors were former Chase Terrace Academy pupils who are currently completing apprenticeships with Crown Highways.
They shared their experiences, discussed the various apprenticeship pathways available, and provided valuable advice on what employers look for in an apprentice. It was fantastic to welcome them back and see how their careers have progressed since leaving CTA!

This week, our Year 9 pupils attended an assembly to learn about an amazing summer school opportunity as part of our celebrations for National Apprenticeship Week!
This free, week-long experience is open to Year 9 and 10 pupils in Staffordshire who have a passion for designing, building, problem-solving, or getting hands-on with tasks. Pupils will explore different engineering fields, develop creativity and teamwork skills, and enjoy breakfast and lunch provided each day.
Ben, Year 10, said: “I really enjoyed my experience at last year’s Engineering Summer Camp with TILG. I had the opportunity to meet some amazing people. We engaged in activities that focused on team building and creativity. The environment was very positive and encouraging. During breaks, there was a variety of fun entertainment, including football, cricket, golf, and chess, offering something for everyone to enjoy.”
The programme takes place at GE Next Engineers HQ in Stafford, with transport provided. Pupils can choose between two sets of dates: 4th–8th August or 11th–15th August 2025. Applications open on Monday 6th January 2025, with a deadline of Friday 28th March 2025.

As part of our National Apprenticeship Week celebrations, our Year 7 pupils had the opportunity to take part in an assembly led by Lorna from Higher Horizons.
Lorna introduced pupils to the world of apprenticeships, including degree apprenticeships, and explained key terminology such as universities, lectures, and seminars. This session aimed to help our pupils build a strong foundation for understanding their future education and career pathways.
