Exciting times ahead for pupils from Chase Terrace Technology…
As another group of Year 13 leavers collect their level 3 ‘A’ Level and Btec results, Chase Terrace Technology College, once again sends warm congratulations to students who have worked hard to achieve these outcomes. Success at level 3 is a great challenge and one which requires determination and focus from pupils who have to work in partnership with their teachers whilst being prepared to work with high levels of independence.
The school’s headteacher Tim Chamberlin commented “I am very pleased and proud of the achievements of our year 13 leavers – they have worked hard over a sustained two year period to reach their goals. As a school we wish them well as they move on to the next chapter in their lives – for over two thirds of our students this will mean taking up a university place and for others beginning a higher level apprenticeship. We will watch with keen interest as they progress and take up their place in the wider world and thank them for the contributions that they have made to the life of this school.

2019 GCSE Exam Results
Just a few of the smiling faces at Chase Terrace Technology College on GCSE Results Day
As Level 2 results arrive in schools and results envelops are opened by students across the country it is important to remember that examined academic ability is only a small part of what makes us who we are as individuals. Success for one person can look very different to that of another. Amongst the anticipation and excitement of results day, CTTC is delighted to showcase just a few students who have achieved great success academically and also contribute a great deal in other areas of their life and of whom we are naturally enormously proud.
Sophia Sweeney (5×9’s, 4×8’s, 1xA) has been a consistently high achieving student since she joined CTTC in Year 7. She is meticulous and driven. She has high expectations of herself and goes about reaching her goals with great determination. She is an outstanding role model for other students.
William James (1×9, 3×8’s, 1×7, 2×6’s, 1×5) winner of this year’s Stephen Sutton Bursary Award combines his academic studies with a national trampoline gymnastics career – both as a competitor and an inspirational coach to younger generations.
Millie Cooper (2×8’s, 3×7’s, 2×6’s, 1×5, Distinction*) is one of our student ambassadors who supports other pupils in our school. She has had to contend with challenges herself, but despite this has achieved to a very high standard through hard work and diligence. A charming young lady who is always willing to go the extra mile for her friends and others around her.
Aeryn Caldwell (1×9, 5×8, 3×7) and Lauren Shaw (3×8, 1×7, 2×6, 2×5, Distinction*) have both combined their studies with the gruelling preparation needed to take part in a 3 week expedition to Malawi this summer during which they have been on treks and supported the construction of school buildings for less advantaged young people of the country – a life changing experience!
Sara Ahmed (1×9, 2×8, 2×7, 3×6) is a delightful student who has performed well above expectations. This has been achieved through hard work and determination on her part coupled with a willingness to seek and act upon the advice given by her teachers – again a true role model for others.
There are many other names that could feature here – attainment and progress success stories and those that have succeeded despite contending with real challenges.
Retiring Headteacher Tim Chamberlin said “I would like to pass my congratulations onto all students for their exam successes. Life does not give everyone as easy ride and I’m particularly proud of those students who have worked through challenging circumstances to achieve their results. I pass my thanks onto the experienced and dedicated staff who have supported these students throughout their time at CTTC. I would also like to thank our parents, many of whom were more nervous than their children on results day, for their essential support of the work we do as a school.”

2018 ‘A’ Level and Btec Exam Results – Another…
Chase Terrace Technology College is, once again delighted with the strong results achieved by its year 13 leavers.
