We would like to extend a big thank you to Premier Group for their generous sponsorship of our U13 and U15 girls’ football kits! Your support means the world to us, and we’re proud to showcase our new kits with gratitude.
This image was taken from a recent match against Friary – where our girls battled it out in horrendous conditions! Despite the challenging weather, the game ended in a commendable 0-0 draw. According to Mr M Brotherton, PE teacher who coached the game, our team displayed incredible strength throughout.
It’s not just about the score; it’s about values, sportsmanship, and teamwork shining through even in tough conditions. Our girls exemplified these qualities, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication and resilience.
Once again, a massive thank you to Premier Group for helping us gear up and supporting our girls on their football journey! Your contribution makes a significant impact on our team, and we’re excited for the successes that lie ahead.

In yesterday’s Year 10 English class, our pupils took center stage in an innovative “Flipped Classroom” presentation approach that left us truly inspired!
Under the guidance of teacher Mrs. V Elliott, our talented pupils embraced the role of experts, immersing themselves in specific chapters from Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth,’ a text crucial for their upcoming GCSE Examinations.
Trek and Frederick, pictured here, were remarkable ambassadors of this approach, embodying the essence of self-driven learning. Their goal was not only to master their designated chapters but also to share their newfound knowledge with the class through a captivating PowerPoint presentation.
Mrs. V Elliott, Teacher of English, shared her enthusiasm, stating, “It was fantastic to witness our pupils confidently taking the stage, teaching their peers. The class listened attentively and respectfully and posed insightful questions.”
Even Mrs Elliott sat with the class and actively participated in the engaging session about Macbeth. The lesson not only deepened our understanding of the literary masterpiece but also set the stage for the GCSE Examinations next academic year.
This teaching method underscores the belief that teaching and presenting are powerful tools for consolidating knowledge. By placing the pupils in the driver’s seat of their learning journey, we not only enhance their understanding of literature but also cultivate essential life skills such as confidence, research, and effective communication.
Well done to our incredible pupils for embracing this flipped classroom technique with such tenacity! Stay tuned for more inspiring updates on our journey toward academic excellence.
