Our students enjoyed a fantastic week of activities in celebration of National Sports Week! They took part in interhouse rounders and softball competitions during PE and had the chance to try indoor golf and a judo workshop led by Mr Austin, School Games Organiser for Burntwood and Lichfield. It was wonderful to see so many students getting involved and trying something new!

On Friday, we held our much-anticipated annual Circus end-of-year celebration, recognising and rewarding students who have consistently demonstrated our school values and met expectations throughout the academic year.
Students enjoyed a fantastic day packed with fun, including the hugely popular Star Flyer ride and Total Wipeout challenge, a circus performance and workshop in the big top, karaoke, and much more. It was wonderful to see students putting their circus skills to the test and celebrating their achievements together.
Congratulations to the winning House in each year group, whose members earned a free ride on the Star Flyer as a special reward!
A huge thank you to Miss Lindsey, Head of House System, for organising such a memorable event. We are also incredibly grateful to all the staff and student volunteers who helped run stalls, support activities, and keep everything running smoothly throughout the day.

We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of two of our students, Ethan (Year 12) and Elijah (Year 8), who have both been awarded the JTMAT Exceptional Achievement Award – a Trust-wide initiative recognising remarkable dedication and success.
Ethan was nominated for his achievements in golf. As Captain of the Staffordshire U18s Golf Team for the 2026 season, Ethan demonstrates leadership, discipline, and a deep understanding of the sport. He has represented the school at national level, competing in the Schools National Finals at Woodhall Spa, and played a key role in the Staffordshire U18s winning the Midlands League in 2025. His continued progression reflects not only his talent, but also the determination and resilience required to perform consistently at county and national standard.
Elijah was nominated in recognition of his commitment to performing arts. His achievement of performing on the West End Stage at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London is the result of many months of hard work, discipline, and passion. Through his membership with the Pauline Quirke Academy, Elijah has dedicated countless hours to rehearsals, workshops, and performance training – consistently demonstrating maturity, resilience, and a genuine love for his craft.
Both students met with Ms Mason, Headteacher, to receive their pin badge and certificate, before joining an online celebration led by Mr M Donoghue, CEO of the John Taylor MAT. We are incredibly proud of both students and the commitment they show in their respective fields. Their achievements are a credit to themselves and to our school community.
