As we approach the upcoming break, we want to share some important information about our final day of term.
We will be breaking up for our Christmas break at 12:10pm on Friday, December 22nd. Please note that all pupils are required to be registered in P3 for accurate attendance recording, which will be the final register of the day.
For all eligible pupils receiving Free School Meals, a food option will be available for collection from the dining hall between 12:10pm and 12:25pm.
To spread some holiday cheer on the last day of term and to support two fantastic causes – the Teenage Cancer Trust and our Pupil Leadership Team – we invite everyone to participate in a non-uniform day! We encourage all pupils to wear their most festive Christmas jumpers. Donations are a minimum of £1 and must be made via the MyChildAtSchool app.
Your generosity will make a meaningful impact on the lives of others during this special time of year. Let’s come together as a school community to make a difference and celebrate the joy of giving.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
As the H82BL8 campaign concludes, we are delighted to share the remarkable success achieved in our collective effort to reduce late minutes across the school. The campaign’s goal was to foster a culture of punctuality, and we are thrilled to announce the winners of this initiative.
A huge congratulations goes to the overall winners in each year group: 8R, 9R, 10O, and 11H. Your commitment to timeliness has set a commendable example for the entire school community. Each form will claim a prize for their fantastic efforts.
However, the spotlight shines particularly bright on form 7M, who demonstrated an extraordinary achievement by collecting absolutely zero late marks throughout the entire campaign. Not a single pupil was late, showcasing an exemplary dedication to punctuality. This is a remarkable feat that deserves special recognition and celebration.
Mr. D Inman, Assistant Headteacher, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The H82BL8 campaign has resulted in a significant reduction late minutes across the school. This is a fantastic effort by 7M and all other winning form groups. Let’s build on this success even though the campaign has ended.”
Our pupils’ collective commitment to respecting time has not only created a more punctual and efficient school environment but has also instilled valuable habits that extend beyond the campaign’s duration. As we move forward, let’s continue to uphold these standards of punctuality, recognising the positive impact they have on our learning environment and the overall well-being of our school community.
Once again, congratulations to all the winning form groups, with special commendation to 7M for their exceptional achievement.

As part of our commitment to creating a safe and healthy environment for our pupils, we would like to draw your attention to the concerning issue of vaping.
Chase Terrace Academy has a strict no-tolerance policy for vaping within the school premises. The health and well-being of our pupils are our top priorities, and we want to ensure that they are provided with a safe and supportive learning environment.
This image highlights crucial information about the dangers of vaping. We urge all parents and carers to take a moment to review this information and discuss it with your children. It is essential that we work together to raise awareness and prevent any potential harm.
Thank you for your continued support!
We are thrilled to announce a fantastic collaboration between our Art and Photography department and Lichfield College! Our talented pupils have joined forces to support a budding filmmaker from Lichfield College on their Filmography course.
Two of our exceptional pupils generously volunteered their time for this unique project, aiming to recreate a memorable scene from the ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ film.
Mrs. H Van Daalen, Head of Art and Photography, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “It’s fantastic to work alongside other educational providers in our local community. The collaborative spirit and dedication shown by all the pupils involved have been truly inspiring. We can’t wait to see the results in the final film!”

This week’s assembly was an inspiring journey into the world of leadership, aspirations, and the resilience needed to achieve our goals. Miss H Pickerill, Pupil Leadership Co-ordinator, kickstarted the discussion by shedding light on our incredible Pupil Leadership team and the broader theme of leadership.
Our pupils engaged in a discussion prompted by a video from YouthSpeak, where young voices resonated on what makes a good leader. It was heartening to see these qualities align seamlessly with our school values of respect, community, tenacity, and aspiration.
The theme of passion took center stage as we delved into a powerful video by Barack Obama. The connection to Pupil Leadership became evident: true leadership thrives in collaboration and community. Emma and Olivia (Year 11), our Head Pupil and Head Prefect, shared the team’s recent accomplishments, from introducing a new catering company to impactful initiatives like the poppy project in collaboration with Burntwood Town Council, Halloween fundraiser, anti-bullying, and Black History Month awareness, they’ve been the driving force for positive change.
Assistant Headteacher, Miss J Devereux, inspired pupils to ponder their aspirations, emphasising the purpose, direction, and focus they bring to life. She shared a powerful quote: “It’s not always about the goal, it’s about the person you have to become to achieve it.” Miss Devereux encouraged dreaming big, setting goals, and taking action, tying it seamlessly with our school value of aspiration. She reassured our pupils that failure is a crucial step towards progress and that goals can evolve over time. As long as one approaches life with tenacity and resilience, mistakes become invaluable lessons, and aspirations are undoubtedly achievable.
Let’s continue to dream, aspire, and work together towards greatness!

We’re thrilled to share the incredible experience our Year 10 Business Studies pupils had today as they participated in mock interviews with representatives from diverse sectors!
The pupils had the unique opportunity to interview professionals from businesses of different sizes, gaining valuable insights and first-hand experience. The goal was to gather crucial primary research for their coursework unit.
The aim of the session was not only to enrich their academic journey but also to provide a platform for meaningful conversations about different career paths. Our pupils got a first-hand look at the multitude of opportunities awaiting them in the professional landscape.
We’re especially grateful to Mr. S Royston, teacher of Business studies, for his inspiring words: “Today’s mock interviews were not just about coursework; they were about opening doors to endless possibilities. Our pupils embraced the opportunity to learn, grow, and envision their future careers.”
A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible business representatives who generously gave up their time to visit us today. Your contribution is invaluable, and your insights will undoubtedly shape the future career paths of our talented pupils.
