Today, Nevaeh, Year 10, met with Mrs C Cain, Assistant Headteacher, in recognition of an incredible achievement of becoming a ballroom dancing finalist at the World Championships held at the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool!
With dancers from across the globe, only a select few were chosen to compete, and Nevaeh proudly represented our school on the world stage. What an amazing accomplishment – well done, Nevaeh!

Please note, sign-up sheets are now available in the PE Department. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To take part in an activity, pupils must sign up in advance by writing their name on the relevant sheet.

To kick off Pride Month, a group of our pupils and staff headed to the Birmingham Pride Big Community Festival in the city centre.
They explored Birmingham’s historic Gay Village, enjoyed live performances from local and national artists, and took in the vibrant atmosphere of the festival.
It was a great opportunity to celebrate diversity, reflect on the meaning of Pride, and show support for inclusion, respect, and equality.

After expressing an interest in how our school operates behind the scenes, Year 8 pupils Sam and Kaden have been shadowing Premises Manager Mr Cooper after school on Mondays as part of a long-term work experience project, gaining insight into the different aspects of maintaining a safe learning environment.
They have recently been learning about access control systems, helping to install our new Paxton intercom at main reception. This included creating network cables and integrating the system into the school’s ICT network – a fantastic opportunity to develop real-world technical skills!
Thanks to their efforts, we now have an intercom system in place for visitors entering the reception area.
Well done, Sam and Kayden!

Year 9 pupils in Mr Farmer’s science classes have been getting hands-on with chemistry by simulating volcanic eruptions using baking soda and vinegar. This experiment demonstrates a chemical reaction that produces carbon dioxide gas, creating a foaming eruption! A fantastic way to bring science to life in the classroom, well done Year 9!

We are proud to share the outcome of our recent OFSTED inspection at Chase Terrace Academy. The inspection team confirmed that our school is “a positive and respectful place to learn” and rated us as ‘Good’ across all areas of the inspection framework.
The report opens by recognising that:
