We are delighted to share that the refurbishment of our auditorium is now complete. We marked the occasion with a small opening ceremony today and were pleased to welcome Mr Donoghue, CEO of the John Taylor MAT and Mr Stewart, Chair of Governors, who officially opened the Chase Terrace Auditorium, formerly known as Lees Hall.
This significant investment represents four months of work and an exciting new chapter for our school. Ms N Mason, Headteacher, said: “Projects like this do not happen by accident. They take vision, planning, patience and a great deal of hard work behind the scenes. I would like to thank the many people who made this space a reality. This is more than a building. It is more than lights, sound, seating and stage. It is a space filled with possibility, creativity and ambition.”
Our students are equally as enthusiastic, with Ben commenting: “It looks amazing and feels really professional, much different to before. The new lighting and piano will be great for school performances. We’re so happy to have this space back for our assemblies and performances to take place.”
We are looking forward to seeing students step onto this stage, where they will be encouraged to aim high, to challenge themselves, and to imagine what they could become. In a world where it is increasingly easy to feel disconnected, spaces like this matter. Our auditorium is a space that we are proud of and will provide the opportunity for our community to come together to celebrate achievements, learn, share ideas, and inspire aspiration.
Our auditorium is open for external hire, and we warmly welcome community groups and organisations to make use of this versatile space. For more information about availability, facilities, or how we can support your event, please get in touch at office@chaseterraceacademy.co.uk.
