A group of our Year 7 students recently visited Chasetown F.C. to gain an insight into how a football club operates both on and off the pitch.
Students enjoyed a ground tour, learning how matchdays and other events are delivered throughout the week. They asked thoughtful questions about the day-to-day running of the club, the role of the Community Project Officer, and the club’s impact within the local community. The visit also highlighted career pathways in sport and potential work experience opportunities.
To finish, students took part in a practical activity exploring how football can be adapted to be inclusive for individuals with an impairment, promoting teamwork and understanding around accessibility in sport.
A big thank you to Chris from Chasetown FC for supporting our school with this valuable experience!
