We are incredibly proud of Jessica, Ellie, and Khalen, who recently represented our school at the 2025 School Speaking Competition. Competing against seven other schools, they delivered a compelling presentation on the topic: “Should the voting age be lowered to 16?”
The event was chaired by Dave Robertson, MP, with a judging panel including Mayor, Cllr Sam Schafer; Andrew Sims, Rotary Club President; Simon Price of Arthur Price; Sir Michael Fabricant, Former Lichfield MP; and Cllr Kathy Coe, Chair of Burntwood Town Council.
This competition provided our pupils with valuable public speaking experience, replicating an environment similar to the House of Commons. They also had the opportunity to refine their communication skills and receive constructive feedback from experienced professionals.
We are so proud of their hard work and dedication – what an incredible achievement!
