After expressing an interest in how our school operates behind the scenes, Year 8 pupils Sam and Kaden have been shadowing Premises Manager Mr Cooper after school on Mondays as part of a long-term work experience project, gaining insight into the different aspects of maintaining a safe learning environment.

They have recently been learning about access control systems, helping to install our new Paxton intercom at main reception. This included creating network cables and integrating the system into the school’s ICT network – a fantastic opportunity to develop real-world technical skills!

Thanks to their efforts, we now have an intercom system in place for visitors entering the reception area.
