We are thrilled to share that Douglas Wright MBE DL, High Sheriff of the West Midlands, will officially open our Employment Futures Expo on Wednesday, 27th November, from 4:30-7:00pm!

Doug is the CEO of a successful franchise operating 23 McDonald’s restaurants across the West Midlands, employing over 2,550 people. Starting his McDonald’s journey straight out of school in 1981, he became a franchisee in 2002.

Beyond his remarkable career, Doug dedicates significant time to charitable causes. After facing a long hospital stay himself at age 20, he became a passionate advocate for the Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham, where he served as Chairman for six years, supporting families of children receiving critical care.
