Last week, a group of 50 enthusiastic pupils from both Year 11 and Year 13 had the incredible chance to attend an eye-opening event at the NEC. This event served as a gateway for our pupils to explore a plethora of Post-16 and Post-18 opportunities, spanning from Apprenticeships and Further Education to Higher Education and Graduate schemes.
The event facilitated valuable face-to-face interactions with top-notch Employers, Colleges, Universities, and Training Providers. Our pupils immersed themselves in this interactive environment, gaining insights into various career paths and educational options.
We are thrilled to share that the feedback from our pupils has been overwhelmingly positive! They not only enjoyed the interactive setting but also found the experience enlightening. Mrs. J Poppleton, Director of Careers, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “This fantastic event showcased a huge range of different providers across so many sectors.”
Mrs. J Poppleton further emphasised the significance of the event, mentioning, “It was a great opportunity for our pupils to meet with them face to face and to be able to ask questions to become more aware of the wide and diverse routes, paths, and levels available.”
Special workshops hosted by the ‘Inspiration Hub’ provided pupils with impartial information, advice, and guidance. Topics covered included identifying learning styles, understanding transferable skills, myth-busting, and engaging case studies.
We’re immensely proud of our pupils for actively participating in this event and seizing the chance to broaden their horizons. It’s evident that such experiences contribute significantly to their personal and academic growth.
