We’ve enjoyed a whole week of wonderful celebrations across the school, marking our love of reading in lots of different ways. Today, our staff joined the fun by dressing up as Where’s Wally? and hiding around the school for pupils to find. Students were challenged to spot all the Wallys, with the closest guess winning 10 house points and a special prize. During Personal Development, pupils also tested their literary knowledge by matching staff to their book-themed answers.

Throughout the week, Year 8 students tackled the Big Brain Quiz on J.R.R. Tolkien, classes enjoyed a behind-the-scenes digital tour of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and many took part in the National Literacy Trust’s Great Big Footy & Booky Quiz 2026. It’s been a fantastic celebration of reading!
