It’s nearly time! Our Summer Carnival is just around the corner, taking place on Friday, 12th July! We would like to share some important information with parents/carers below:
Pupils will be told if they can attend the carnival on Thursday 11th July during Personal Development lessons. Attendance to the Carnival is subject to a positive net-worth of house points, behaviour points, and attendance from Monday 3rd June.
Last week in assemblies, pupils were reminded to wear appropriate sports-wear, apply suncream or wear a hat if necessary, and to bring a water bottle and some change for activities. Don’t forget, the winning house will be announced on Thursday, and its members will receive a token to ride the dodgems for free!
The schedule for the day is as follows:
– Pupils will start with Personal Development lessons until 9am.
– Years 7 and 8 will enjoy the carnival from 9am-11am, while Years 9 and 10 engage in form activities.
– After break, Years 9 and 10 will have their turn at the carnival from 11:20-12:20, while Years 7 and 8 take part in form activities.
– Lunchtime will be from 12:20-12:50.
– The carnival will reopen for Years 9 and 10 from 1pm-2pm.
Please note, there will be an early finish for all pupils at 2pm.
If any pupil feels overwhelmed, the Learning Support Hub will be available with alternative activities to help them relax and enjoy the day at their own pace.
Remember, this event is a fundraiser, so activities will cost between 20p and £2.50. We encourage pupils to bring change rather than bank notes.
We look forward to celebrating the carnival with our pupils!
