Today, our Year 9 cohort had the privilege of learning about the diverse career paths within the Royal Navy, thanks to Taylor Haywood, an ex-pupil of Chase Terrace Academy. Taylor, with three years of experience in radar operations, shared invaluable insights into life in the Navy and the many opportunities it offers.

From safeguarding our waters and economy to fostering international partnerships and providing humanitarian aid, Taylor illuminated the pivotal roles the Navy plays on a global scale. His tales of worldly travels, having visited eight countries in 2023 alone, sparked inspiration among our pupils.

Miss J Devereux, Assistant Headteacher, remarked, “Today’s session was incredibly informative, shedding light on the numerous career avenues within the Royal Navy. Taylor’s expertise was remarkable, and it was truly heartening to witness our pupils so engaged.”
