Our US Girls Ambassadors have recently participated in a comprehensive ‘street first aid’ training course, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication to learning valuable skills.
During the 90-minute session, our ambassadors received hands-on training on various aspects of street first aid, including how to handle situations like stab wounds and other injuries related to violent crimes. They also learned crucial information about staying safe around issues like spiking and substance use.
This training focuses on real-life scenarios, ensuring our pupils are equipped to handle emergencies confidently. They also had the opportunity to learn traditional physical first aid skills such as putting someone in the recovery position, alongside gaining insights into mental health awareness.
We were delighted to welcome pupils from Erasmus Darwin Academy to join us for this enriching experience, fostering collaboration and community spirit.
Our ambassadors will soon be embarking on a mentoring course, further enhancing their leadership and support skills.
A big thank you to Lichfield District Council for their partnership in making the US Girls Ambassador programme possible for our pupils.
