We were delighted to welcome parent and alumna Jenny Taylor, a Vet at Grange Hill Practice, into school to speak with students about careers in veterinary medicine.

Jenny shared her personal career journey and provided insight into a typical day in the life of a Vet, highlighting both the rewards and challenges of the profession. She outlined the different career pathways into veterinary medicine and veterinary nursing, explaining the qualifications required from GCSEs and A Levels through to university study. Jenny also discussed the key skills needed for success and offered valuable advice on securing placements or work experience, including how transferable skills from any workplace can be applied within a veterinary environment.
