We are incredibly proud of our Year 8 pupils who have been taking part in the exciting ‘Build a Business’ social value project, delivered by Natasha Heritage from Stepnell Construction.
Last week marked the grand finale, where our pupils pitched their innovative housing development ideas in a Dragons’ Den-style presentation to a panel of VIP judges:
• Cllr Alex Farrell & Jared Freeman from the Lichfield District Council
• Beth Sutton & Gemma Stanway from Compliance Chain
• Steve Hollins, Project Manager at Stepnell
Working in teams, pupil have created their own construction companies—complete with a name, logo, and strapline – and developed plans for a new housing estate. They’ve had to consider key factors such as environmental impact, costs, and housing types.
The winning team will have the exciting opportunity to visit a live construction site and meet industry professionals!
A huge well done to everyone involved!
