We are thrilled to introduce Chris Allen as our new Singing Teacher at CTA Music School! With over six years of experience in teaching singing and a rich background in performing across various genres, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our school.
Chris’s expertise lies in musical theatre, having been involved in numerous productions over the past twenty years, both as a performer and a musical director. He has participated in professional workshops in Birmingham and at the Leicester Curve Theatre, and has even performed in concerts alongside leading West-End professionals. In addition to his theatre work, Chris regularly performs jazz classics in a Rat Pack tribute act and previously toured the West Midlands with an acoustic covers band. He also received three years of training from the esteemed classical tenor, Joshua Ellicott, while studying History at the University of York, further refining his technique and teaching skills.
Chris shared: “My lessons cater to the individual, regardless of their style, experience, or goals. Many of my students regularly take exams in both musical theatre and pop vocals, with a 100% pass rate. I believe that singing is all about enjoyment for both the performer and the audience, and my teaching style reflects this. My lessons focus on the fundamentals of good vocal technique, the performance skills that elevate a song, and how to get the most enjoyment and fulfilment out of your voice.”
If you’d like to enrol your child in singing lessons with Chris at CTA Music School, please collect a sign-up letter from Ms D Maymand.
