Today, we are thrilled to celebrate some outstanding achievements of our amazing pupils!
Fin, year 10, was nominated for his incredible accomplishment of climbing Ben Nevis! Not only did he conquer the peak, but he also supported his mum, auntie, and grandad in reaching the top. Fin met with our Headteacher, Ms N Mason, to discuss this remarkable feat. Well done, Fin!
Evie, year 8, was nominated for securing 1st place in the high jump at the district Athletics competition! Her outstanding performance has earned her the opportunity to represent Cannock district in an upcoming competition. Evie celebrated this achievement with Mr. M Newman, our Deputy Headteacher.
Please note, we are still accepting parent/carer nominations for Thankful Thursday and Feel Good Friday. Please submit your nominations using the form in the Terrace Talk parent bulletin. Kindly note that there might be some delays in celebrations taking place due to our senior staff supporting the GCSE Examinations.

Pupils from Chase Terrace Academy were bursting with pride when they attended the Birmingham Pride Big Community Festival on Friday 24th May.
June is officially LGBTQIA+ Pride Month, and to kick off our celebrations at Chase Terrace Academy, a group of 24 pupils travelled to Birmingham City Centre to attend the Birmingham Pride Festival Big Community Event.
The group assembled in Lichfield ready to catch the train to Birmingham adorned with bright and colourful clothing, flags representing various identities from the LGBTQIA+ community and some even wearing rainbow face paint! History teacher, Miss S Lindsey helped add sparkle to the group with her expert glitter face painting.
After arriving in Birmingham, a quick walk led us to Birmingham’s historic Gay Village, marked by a square painted with a giant rainbow! Pupils were able to take in the sights of the upcoming pride weekend celebrations, community venues and artworks celebrating the history of Birmingham’s LGBTQIA+ community including the AIDS memorial statue.
The group were taken aback by the festival site; they were especially impressed by the fun fair and the number of food offerings available. The group cheered, sang and danced along to performances on the main stage (standing in the VIP area at the very front!) from local, and national performers. There was an incredible performance from LGBTQIA+ bhangra group, Bollyqueer as well as RuPaul’s Drag Race UK contestant, Ginny Lemon, Yshee Black and others representing all corners of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The festival was filled with people of all ages and identities coming together to celebrate pride and send a message of inclusion and tolerance. A candlelit vigil was held to remember those in the community that have fought for the rights that are held today, and those that are no longer with us.
Pupils were able to reflect on the meaning and importance of pride, and the importance of standing up for each other and challenging injustices.

Our pupils (and staff!) had a wonderful time on the recent PGL trip to Boreatton Park. We have collated all of the many photos and have selected a handful to share with our school community. Pupils had a great time taking part in silent discos, kayaking, axe-throwing, archery, zip wiring, and more!
A massive thank you to all the staff who organised and supported our pupils on this trip.
Enjoy some highlights from our trip below. We can’t wait for the next one!

We are thrilled to introduce Tootoot to our pupils today! Tootoot is a fantastic new pupil voice app that allows pupils to confidentially report incidents to a trusted member of staff. This tool enhances our ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and supportive school environment, building on our ‘Speak Out’ campaign against bullying and other negative behaviours and more.
While Tootoot ensures confidentiality, it is important to note that in cases of severe safeguarding issues, our team will work with Tootoot to identify and assist the pupil in need. The app is monitored by our Senior Leadership and Safeguarding Team, who will triage and address all reports appropriately.
The introduction of Tootoot was developed in response to pupil feedback, expressing the need for a safe and confidential platform to report their concerns. During today’s assembly, all pupils were briefed on how to use the app responsibly, appropriately and effectively.
For a detailed guide on setting up and using the Tootoot app, please watch this informative YouTube video: https://youtu.be/aBF_0XIGG-c?feature=shared
Pupils are able to access the Tootoot platform via our school website under the ‘IT Services’ tab.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s Progress Team. Contact details are available under the ‘Who to Contact’ tab on our school website.

On the last day before half-term, we held our Sixth Form Leaver’s Assembly to celebrate our incredible Year 13 pupils.
Staff members were given the opportunity to nominate pupils who have shown exceptional effort and excellence in their subjects. These pupils were presented with subject-specific awards, highlighting their hard work and achievements. Additionally, members of our Senior Leadership Team presented a variety of other awards to recognise the outstanding contributions and successes of our pupils.
Mr. R Giles, Head of Sixth Form, said:
“This group has been an absolute pleasure to have within the Sixth Form. It is always incredibly sad to wish a year group goodbye, but it was wonderful to celebrate their achievements and successes. As a school and as a Head of Sixth Form, we wish every pupil all the best for their future and we are so thankful that they chose to start their journey at CTA.”
We are immensely proud of our Year 13 pupils and look forward to seeing all the amazing things they will accomplish in the future. Congratulations to all award recipients and to the entire cohort for their hard work and dedication.
