Today, Ms Mason and Mr Newman had the pleasure of meeting some truly inspiring fundraising superstars.

Cameron and his younger brother undertook an incredible challenge during the final week of the summer holidays, walking 32 miles over three days from Burntwood to Pride Park Stadium in memory of their dad, a lifelong Derby County fan who sadly passed away at the end of 2024. Through their determination and resilience, they have raised over £1,500 for the Intensive Care Unit at Burton Hospital. Their achievement is a wonderful tribute to their dad and a testament to their strength, courage and kindness, and we are very proud of both of them.

Ella was recognised for her outstanding support of the Little Princess Trust. Over the summer holidays, she made the selfless decision to donate 13 inches of her hair to help provide wigs for children experiencing hair loss. Alongside this, she raised an incredible £884 through her fundraising efforts. Ella went above and beyond by creating handmade gifts in her own time to thank those who supported her. Her kindness, generosity, determination and willingness to use her own time and something very personal to her to help others is incredibly inspiring and something she should be very proud of.

We are incredibly proud of Cameron, his brother and Ella for showing such kindness, resilience and community spirit. They are wonderful role models, and their efforts remind us all of the positive impact that compassion and determination can have on others.
