Today, we were honoured to welcome back our former pupil, Jack Hollingworth, who has achieved remarkable success since leaving our Sixth Form three years ago. Jack recently graduated with a Double First from the prestigious Cambridge University, where he chose to read Law at Jesus College.
Jack’s academic journey has been nothing short of exemplary, with outstanding GCSE and A Level grades paving the way for his admission to Cambridge. During his time at the university, Jack has shown incredible dedication, tackling exams as lengthy as five hours! Alongside his academic pursuits, he has furthered his career prospects through impactful internships during his summer breaks.
Currently pursuing an LLM (Masters in Law), Jack aspires to become a barrister in Public and Commercial Law. Today, he generously shared his experiences with our pupils, shedding light on the application process for studying Law at Cambridge and universities in general.
In his talk, Jack delved into the technical and vocational aspects of Law, emphasising how it provides a broader understanding of society. He provided insights into a typical week at Cambridge, covering reading lists, lectures, essays, and supervisions. Jack also offered valuable advice on extracurricular activities to develop skills for their CVs.
Miss J Devereux, Assistant Headteacher, expressed, “Jack’s journey is truly inspirational. His words today have ignited high aspirations among our pupils, motivating them to work with tenacity toward their goals.”
