This week we had the privilege of hosting Tom, the Technical Director at RAM Hair Academy, based in Cannock!

Tom, with over 15 years of experience in the hairdressing industry, shared his wealth of knowledge about the various career options available in this dynamic field. Having traversed through Sixth Form, college, and an apprenticeship, Tom is well-versed in the diverse routes into hairdressing, making him the perfect guide for our aspiring stylists.

RAM Hair Academy is not just any hairdressing school; it’s a place that encourages creative ability and breaks the conventional rules of the trade. Tom was thrilled to discuss the upcoming training program that RAM Hair has curated, ensuring that all pupils have all the tools they need for a successful career in hairdressing.

A brand new salon is set to open its doors in 2024, with none other than Tom at the helm as the director! He’s thrilled at the idea of welcoming our current pupils as newly qualified stylists.

During the discussion, Tom highlighted the various training options available, whether it be through college, apprenticeship-based training, or working directly with an academy. Miss J Devereux, Assistant Headteacher, shared, “Tom’s visit has been truly enlightening, and he has been instrumental in showcasing the incredible opportunities available in the field of hairdressing. His passion and expertise has ignited a sense of aspiration in our pupils.”
