For today’s Feel Good Friday, we are delighted to highlight the outstanding achievements of four of our incredible pupils who showcased their talent at the Stafford Apex Open Meet this weekend. They had the opportunity to meet with Headteacher, Ms N Mason, and Deputy Headteacher, Mr J Cain to celebrate their achievements.

Jack (Year 7) demonstrated his prowess by securing 7th and 8th place in his age group. His individual medley in the 50m backstroke was truly remarkable. Jack is not only a dedicated swimmer, but he also balances his time with scouts, dance, and aikido. Currently, he’s in rehearsals for an upcoming performance of Oliver!

Logan (Year 8) moved up an age group and still managed to clinch gold medals in both of his races. Beyond his aquatic prowess, Logan shared his aspirations for GCSE choices—German, Triple Science, BTEC sport, and History. His dedication also extends to rugby, football, and a bright future ahead.

Niall (Year 11) showcased incredible skill, winning a total of 7 medals—1 silver and 6 bronze. Achieving a new personal best and nearing a sub-30 time, Niall is eagerly looking forward to competing again next weekend. His aspirations include applying for Sixth Form to study Criminology, Maths, and Geography.

Nathan’s (Year 12) swimming prowess is nothing short of extraordinary. Completing the 100m in under a minute, he earned an impressive twelve medals—7 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze. Nathan’s dedication is evident as he trains a remarkable 8 times a week, even at 5 am before school! Currently enjoying Sixth Form, he’s pursuing studies in Business, Science, and Sport.

Ms N Mason, Headteacher, said: “The tenacity and ambition displayed by our pupils is truly commendable. Having witnessed the event first-hand, I am immensely proud of the respect each pupil demonstrated. It was wonderful to see them encourage each other to do their best. These achievements reflect the exceptional dedication within our CTA community!”
