As the autumn leaves fall, we bid farewell to an incredible term of Forest School adventures! To celebrate the conclusion of an incredible journey this term, our pupils embraced their culinary skills in a ‘Cook Off’ during their final session.
Using tin pans, our pupils dived into the world of outdoor cooking, making hotdogs and perfectly toasted marshmallows over fires, set up using the log cabin method. After devouring these delicious treats, the adventure continued with a second fire, where a storm kettle transformed the forest setting into a cosy outdoor kitchen for whipping up delightful hot chocolates.
Mr. A Proverbs, Forest School leader, shared his reflections on the past ten weeks: “It has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside the pupils. I’ve watched each and every one of them grow in different areas, from pupils who struggled to engage with others, to now working together as a team. I’ve seen others find a confidence in themselves that they didn’t know they had. The pupils have demonstrated such resilience and perseverance.”
To celebrate the fantastic time spent at Forest School, our talented pupils created a special sign that will find its home in the allotment they’ve worked so hard to cultivate. Pictured here is Jayden, beaming with pride as he displays this symbol of their collective achievement.
A huge thank you to Mr. A Proverbs and all the pupils for making this term’s Forest School sessions unforgettable. We’re looking forward to more adventures, growth, and exploration in the next term!
