This week, our pupils have been engaging in a variety of exciting and insightful activities to explore their future career pathways. Here’s a glimpse of what they’ve been up to:
- Year 9 enjoyed an inspiring assembly led by Lorna from Higher Horizons, discussing the importance of informed career choices and the diverse options available.
- Year 7 were introduced to the world of rail by Rose Rees from the Midland Metro Alliance, learning about the tram network and opportunities in the rail sector.
- Year 8 had a session with Sammi from Marston’s, who debunked myths and highlighted the wide-ranging roles in the hospitality industry.
- Year 10 were visited by Peter Workman from Temple Bright, who shared insights into pursuing a career in law.
Additionally, Mrs Poppleton, Director of Careers, hosted fun lunchtime activities, including matching transferable skills to subjects taught in school, a ‘guess who’ activity in which pupils guess which career journey matches which teacher, and a game to identify real vs. fake jobs!
It’s been an incredible week of inspiration for our pupils, and we can’t wait to see where their future careers take them!
