Our Subject Lead for Art, Photography and D&T, Mrs H Van Daalen, had the incredible opportunity to visit the JCB headquarters for the first-ever teacher encounter. This exclusive session, attended by educators across Staffordshire, aimed to provide teachers with the information to empower pupils with insights into securing apprenticeships and the essential skills required for success.

During the session, teachers received a comprehensive breakdown of the interview process and witnessed firsthand the practical application of the engineering and D&T courses offered here at CTA. These insights not only contribute to pupils’ career perspectives but also shed light on the creative disciplines available to them.

Mrs. H Van Daalen shared her thoughts on the experience, stating, “The visit was incredibly informative. I learned a lot about the curriculum we offer and how it can be directly applied to the real world.
