Our talented finalists have wrapped up recording their Poetry by Heart entries for submission to the national competition! During the non-uniform day at the end of last term, our pupils showcased their dedication and passion for performing arts by delivering heartfelt performances to enter the national competition. Now we wait to see what the judges think of our talented pupils.

Mrs D Maymand, Subject Lead for Performing Arts, said: “We often approach poems by analysing them and discussing what the poet intended. This competition, however, allows pupils to approach the poem in a fresh way, experiencing poetry as it was meant to be—read aloud, personalised, and shared with others. I am incredibly proud of the pupils who have poured their hearts and souls into perfecting their entries.”
