We are thrilled to share the remarkable experience our pupils had during a Shakespearean workshop that was nothing short of spectacular!
The Lichfield Garrick Theatre, renowned for its excellence in the performing arts, provided an enriching workshop that took our pupils on a journey through the world of Shakespeare.
The workshop offered invaluable insights into performing Shakespeare and delving into the intriguing world of “Much Ado About Nothing.” Our pupils had the chance to explore how the context of this timeless classic can be perceived and adapted for a modern audience. It was a fusion of tradition and innovation that left a lasting impact on all who participated.
One of the highlights of the workshop was mastering the challenging iambic pentameter of Shakespearean text. Learning vocal techniques to handle this intricate form of verse is a skill that will undoubtedly serve these talented pupils well in their future theatrical endeavours.
Ms. Maymand, Head of Performing Arts, expressed her enthusiasm for this exciting collaboration, saying: “It’s wonderful to have The Lichfield Garrick Theatre at Chase Terrace Academy, and we look forward to developing exciting projects together in the future. The experience has broadened our pupils’ horizons and ignited their passion for the performing arts. It’s moments like these that inspire future stars to shine even brighter.”
We couldn’t be prouder of our pupils for embracing this opportunity and for the tenacity they demonstrated within this workshop. Here’s to many more inspiring workshops and performances in the future!
