Recently, our Year 12 pupils led their own Harkness discussion on whether Henry VII successfully consolidated his reign during the Tudor Period. Each pupil came prepared with a wealth of research and evidence, presenting their arguments with clarity, conciseness, and confidence.
They explored Henry VII’s unique leadership style, his Machiavellian tactics, suppression of rebellions, and strategic use of marriages to secure power.
At A-Level, activities like this help pupils develop not only their historical knowledge but also their communication and critical thinking skills. Well done, Year 12!
