Today, our Year 9 pupils embarked on an exciting journey into the realm of mechanical engineering, thanks to the engaging workshops led by The Inspirational Learning Group.
Our pupils were challenged to construct a free-standing marble run using everyday materials such as cardboard, lollipop sticks, and plastic cups. The challenge was to engineer a design that would keep the marble in motion for a minimum of seven seconds.
While the task presented its fair share of challenges, our pupils showcased remarkable tenacity and determination. Through trial, error, and innovative problem-solving, they demonstrated the true essence of resilience in the face of complexity.
We’re incredibly proud of their ingenuity and perseverance throughout the workshop. These hands-on experiences not only foster a deeper understanding of STEM concepts but also cultivate crucial skills for future success.
We extend our gratitude to The Inspirational Learning Group for their visit today and for providing an enriching learning opportunity for our pupils.
