Our Year 9 students had a fantastic day at Coffey Construction in Burntwood as part of their pilot 8-week work experience programme. They took on the Water Supply Challenge, designing, building and testing a working water network while developing their teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills and learning about careers in engineering.
Following this trip, they then had the opportunity to Carsington Water reservoir, where the overall winners were announced and received their prizes.
A huge thank you to everyone at Coffey Construction for providing such an inspiring hands-on experience and helping our students see how the skills they learn in school can be applied in the workplace.
