We are excited to share that the Burntwood Town Council’s Student Award in memory of Stephen Sutton has reopened for applications!
In 2015, Burntwood Town Council launched this award to celebrate the life and achievements of Stephen Sutton MBE by supporting young people with aspirations and talents within our town. This year, the award is once again open for applications, and we are thrilled to encourage our pupils to apply.
The Student Award offers £1,000 to one pupil living in Burntwood to support them in developing their talents. Whether it’s sports, art, academia, or music, the award can be used to help fund equipment, coaching, tuition, competition fees, or travel, giving the recipient a practical helping hand to reach their goals.
Last year, two of our pupils, Scarlett and Daniel, were honoured with this award, and we are so proud of their achievements. Don’t miss out on your chance to apply!
To be eligible, applicants must be aged between 11-19 years and reside within Burntwood Town Council boundaries. For more information and to download an application form, please visit www.burntwood-tc.gov.uk or contact Kat Horner at kat.horner@burntwood-tc.gov.uk or 01543 677166.
The closing date for applications is midnight on Sunday, 27th October 2024. Good luck to all our aspiring pupils!
