We’re absolutely thrilled to announce the winners of our Computer Science Department’s Autumn term competition! Throughout these past months, our teachers have been keeping a close eye on exceptional work, the representation of our CTA values, and outstanding progress among our pupils. Today, we’re absolutely delighted to share the results with you all.
The grand prize of a fluffy duck goes to Thomas R from Year 8, pictured here. Megan S was the second name drawn, and they’ve won the fantastic prize of a rubber duck and some treats.
These ducks are an integral part of our Computer Science lessons! Pupils use them as a unique tool for ‘teaching’ and explaining their coding. By explaining their methods to a duck, our pupils are able comprehend the lessons and improve their coding skills.
A big congratulations to Thomas and Megan for their well-deserved wins, and a big βwell doneβ to all of our pupils for their hard work and dedication this term.
Mrs. D Lees, Head of Computer Science, expressed her pride in the progress our pupils have made, saying, “I am incredibly proud of the progress our pupils have made in the Autumn term and I look forward to seeing their achievements in the Spring term!β
